Diigo vs. Delicious (Bookmarking)

Before this assignment I had already had some experience with both of these Web 2.0 apps.  I prefer Diigo over Delicious due to its advanced features like the "highlighting" option.  Basically both of these sites allow you to bookmark your favorite websites and allow you to access them from any computer.  Personally even though I have accounts with both of these sites, I use my Yahoo homepage for my bookmarking.  I don't have near the features but it is easy to use and I love the simplicity in that I can access my mail and my favorite sites all from my homepage.

  1. I've been using google bookmarks for the exact same reason, KEEP IT SIMPLE! But I liked the highlighting tool of Diigo, if I hadn't started with gooogle I'd probably be using that.

  2. I agree the simplicity of the yahoo bookmarking is awesome. Even though I am a fan of Diigo over Delicious, I think I am goingto find myself doing with what you said - keeping it simple!

  3. I think most of us liked the highlighting option. I wish I had known about that when I had my research class. It would have made things a little easier.

  6. I've never used Yahoo bookmarking tool... actually didn't know it exist until now and I have a Yahoo account. Now I have to look :) I used Google's feature but it's a bit clumsy... to simple for me... so I use Diigo. I'm one of those who'd pick a car (similar features, just different brand for example) based on how many buttons it has. The one with the most button and power is the one I'd get.
